Echo

We are resonant beings. Resonance stems from Latin resonantia and resonare, echo, to sound and resound. When energy moves between bodies (earth, people, instruments, animals, etc) and merges, this is resonance. My approach to making photographs has always been to listen. I listen to a place with my body, my eyes, my heart, my camera. When I experience resonance, the resulting image can take my breath away.

All images were made on film and printed in a darkroom.
